Thanks for the comment Frank..Sorry about your wife. Thanks for re-enforcing the FACT that...Yes we are mums concerned for the wealfare of our children and just like we try to instil the fear in them about drugs,alcohol,smoking and the importance in using condoms.  Why should this be any different, given the FACT that the vaccine is given without any background health questions on the consent forms. The FACT that they are allowing the 16 year old girls to give consent wether the parents like it or not.  Why would they allow this Frank?  16 year olds are not adults....they may as well allow them to buy smokes and alcohol and get into nightclubs at this age!! Why make an exception in this instance.  These girls that are now suffering health defects after vaccination are very real Frank...Real to the girls themselves and real to the annoyed parents when the doctors deny any connection.   Its not an epidemic Frank, hundreds and hundreds of thousands of girls will never develop cervical cancer, EVER.  My daughter only received it because her doctor persuaded her at a routine visit.  Yes....60 woman may die every year from this Frank but how many young girls have been suffering from epilepsy,seizers,fainting,fatigue,depression and other health issues they never experienced before having the vaccine.  Over 236 reactions and more so far Frank....do you know if any of them have fully recovered?   And yes....you are lucky Frank..you are lucky that you still have your wife to hug , have companionship and see her walk in the door everyday and greet you. I know of 4 young girls Frank including mine ages 13, 16,16,18 who have died in thier sleep between June 2009 and December 2009 and one of the 16 yearold girls I have found out had...had the vaccine.   So Frank can you proove its not the vaccine?  There were 37 deaths within the clinical trials of this vaccine.  Car crashes?  Suicides? And other major health conditions that caused all the deaths.  FACT Syncope, which is fainting and tonic-clonic movements, which is seizers was only added to the labeling of reactions in June 2009 -How many died in car crashes and how many committed suicide-how many died of other health issues after Gardasil?  ( GOOGLE )Gardasil clinical trials by merck and click on HIGHLIGHTS OF PRESCRIBING INFORMATION.  All the fACTS are there Frank!!  Im not againts the vaccine Frank, Im appauled at the extent the makers have gone....in order to mass vaccinate before the trials were complete. Frank your wife survived having cervical cancer but my daughter died after having the vaccine . Thanks Frank for the boost of adrenaline to continue to expose this vaccine for what it is.  NASTY !! If they want to trail it then they should be giving it to the older girls who are of high risk. But then they would see a definite link ?!!

It goes against every bone in my body to vaccinate my 2 beautiful daughters with this government driven campaign.
With all the marketing monies spent to promote this vaccine why aren't they also promoting the girls to make sure when sexually active to get smears from the doctors , some of these girls now think they can go crazy with the boys and there covered with this vaccine!! Its A. dangerous for that very reason and B. Dangerous for the side effects and c. is there going to be a NEW vaccine trialed on our babies for every other cancer that you can get IE bowel cancer or breast.

Based on no evidence whatsoever, a few rumours, and unsubstantiated claims, you're condemning women to death by spreading rubbish like this.

60 women a year die from cervical cancer. 60 women each year, EVERY year.

If you don't vaccinate, that's fine. After all, it's your daughter's lives you're gambling with.

One thing though; the next time any one of you cut your hand or foot whilst gardening, I hope you decline to have a tetanus injection. We can't have you protected by a tetanus vaccine. Not whilst you leave your daughters unprotected.

Why am I, a bloke, co concerned? Probably cos my partner had cervical cancer. Luckily it was caught in time - but her womb was removed in the process.

Unlike you women, she had no choice to vaccinate or not when she was a child.

I would like to respond to Ken and just ask what is so amusing about all of this.  I find nothing amusing at all with having to pick up the pieces after my daughter had this vaccination.  He has not spent these months with my daughter worrying and feeling totally helpless as she declined in health.  He will not worry about my daughters future as it has been altered in such a way that we cannot guarantee she will ever fully recover from this and her sporting opportunities have been greatly effected.  I am extremely fortunate to have wonderful support from people who understand and may God help those that you associate with Ken.  I would like to challenge him to take the vaccine himself.  Take a stand in the line with all the other poor young girls and take all three jabs. Let me know when this will take place.

I know this website has been dedicated to the Gardasil vaccine but i am also interested in the other "newer" vaccine ... the Menigitis one that was given first 3 years ago. 

My daughter has had serious health issues since receiving that.... her initial reaction was like that of glandular fever then she seemed to come right for a while.... then she developed symptoms again including her lymph system going crazy and has now been diagnosed with chronic fatigue...

At the time of the first vaccine she had what they considered a "minor" localised reaction....

Any thoughts anyone?

hi there,
my daughter is only 3 this year and i am hopeing that by the time she is shedualed for this vaccene it would have been fixed.

although i am fully for vaccines in all childern and i have always said the side effects are minor compaired to the actual disease i would like to think more parents decide to cut this vaccine out of their immunisation programme. it is disgusting what they are not telling us about this drug and what should be made more public.

thanks for setting up this website and i hope the government stops the administration of this drug until it is fully safe!

Just wanting to say there are a few websites on the net where you can read about this vaccine and others, telling you what our Ministry of Health won't tell you. I did research when they decided to immunize against MenzB and found enough info to decide not to have my four children immunized, and passed on the info to everyone I knew. I did the same when my Grand daughter reacted to her first Prevanar injection in 2008, she never had anymore. I researched the HPV and choose not to have my 2 teenage daughters immunized. After finding your site I know I made the best choice for my daughters.
Good on you for starting this website it is excellent.

"On June 9, 2009, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a revised label for Gardasil, a vaccine to protect against cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancers caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18 and genital warts caused by HPV types 6 and 11. In the new label, information pertaining to syncope (fainting) is now also included in the Warnings and Precautions section, and this section has new information noting that individuals who faint sometimes have tonic-clonic (jerking) movements and seizure-like activity. The addition of syncope to the Warnings and Precautions section emphasizes that healthcare providers and consumers should be alert that fainting may occur following vaccination with Gardasil, sometimes resulting in falling and injuries. To prevent falls and injuries all vaccine recipients should remain seated or lying down and be closely observed for 15 minutes following vaccination."

Cynthia Janak a USA journalist has been writing and proving this vaccine is unsafe for the last few years. Confusing that because if Merck were so convinced that their vaccine was safe why have they recently changed the labelling

Thats the article, the interesting point I would like to bring to your attention, is that Merck also manufactured Vioxx, a pain-relief drug, when it was on the market, lots of terrible side-effects were being reported. What Merck did was add certain new side effects to Vioxx labels, the FDA assured everyone that Vioxx was safe etc. We know now that over 60,000 deaths were attributed to Vioxx and experts believe more than 200,000 is more real, as well as millions living in life-changing disabilities. Merck paid out billion of dollars in compensation, I think Gardasil with hardly any proper trials behind it, very dodgy science to back it up, even the FDA own research shows no relation to HPV and cervical cancer and in fact "continuous infection" and better screening is the best way of detecting and helping woman.
This is Merck new cash cow, money is more important than people, and Merck have the history to prove that.

I would just like to say I have twin girls who are now 10yrs old.  When they were 3 they were given the MMR injection.  A week later I had to take them to the doctor and they were diagnosed with one having German Measles and the other English Measles, my GP told me if I were to give them anymore vaccines in the future he would be concerned they would contract that disease.  I have taken his advice and since then my girls have never been sick are healthy as (maybe a slight cold).  They are both physical active and academically.  I don't agree with vaccines these days, there are so many vaccines we are putting into their little bodies and they can't handle it.  This is just my opinion.  Thank you.

Thank You - I have said all along 11 is too young.  My argument has always been:  1 - if the virus is sexually transmitted why are they assuming our 11 year old daughters are sexually active and introducing the concept of sexual activity into our primary schools.  2 - surely safe sex is a more positive message to spread.  3 - it encourages poor sexual attitudes eg condoms don't matter because I'm protected, ditto pap tests.  4 - there is no vaccine for cancer and it should not be marketed as such.  Finally, it is a choice for my daughter to make when she is (hopefully) 18 and entering into adult relationships.

I have felt like a voice in the wilderness till now, thank you for this website (which I have bookmarked).

On your pages you have an advertisement from ZOOSK promoting meeting "attractive singles near you", (presumably to get together and do what attractive singles do with each other), while at the same time you are using hysterical nonsense to campaign against a vaccine that will protect your daughters from one of the most dangerous consequences of promiscuity - oh, but I'm sure YOUR daughters aren't promiscuous.
Reminds me of a great Tui billboard - "my daughter's not like all the other girls".

School Rejection of Gardasil Welcomed
Family First NZ is welcoming a decision by a South Island high school (Westland High School) to refuse to allow the gardasil vaccine to be administered at the school, and is asking for other schools to make a similar stand.

“Ultimately the decision to vaccinate or not should be made by the parent after having received full and balanced information on its merits,” says Bob McCoskrie, National Director of Family First NZ. “At the moment, students are being proselytized with unbalanced information through their schools or health organizations, and parents are being bullied into an uninformed response.”

“The recent revelations that the free meningococcal vaccinations given to children, and which were marketed as the answer to that horrific disease, actually provide only short term protection resulting in a false sense of security for parents, also applies to the Gardasil vaccine.”

A recent report in the New York Times pointed out the vaccines have been studied for a relatively short period — both were licensed in 2006 and have been studied in clinical trails for at most six and a half years. Researchers have not yet demonstrated how long the immunity will last, or whether eliminating some strains of cancer-causing virus will decrease the body’s natural immunity to other strains. 

And a Harvard study concluded that it might make more economic sense to rely on Pap smear screening alone which has effectively reduced cervical cancer death rates to very low levels.

“By spending $177m on this vaccine, there is less money available for other health issues including drugs like herceptin and heart disease medication,” says Mr McCoskrie.

“It seems that the government has been a victim of aggressive marketing worldwide by the vaccine makers with many questions regarding its effectiveness still unanswered – including its duration of protection, potential side-effects, and its cost effectiveness. Regular pap smears are still necessary and have been proved to be most effective in the fight against cervical cancer.”

“While we are naturally all supportive of any attempts to fight cancer, parental knowledge or consent is essential when it involves children – especially when the infection is not a communicable disease but a consequence of behaviour – and while the jury is out on its long-term effectiveness,” says Mr McCoskrie.

My daughter too had an adverse reaction to the vaccine - blackouts - two days after her first injection they started and they lasted for more than a week - she was hospitalised where she was told everything from "a viral infection" to just attention seeking. She thought she was going insane. The hospital were told that she had just had the first Gardasil vaccination but every doctor we saw said it "wouldn't be related to that"!? My daughter too was fit and healthy before the injection. I then took the step of researching on the internet the reactions that Gardasil has had on young woman in other countries and was horrified by the shocking things that I found, yet we had been told prior to her vaccination that there had been "no adverse reactions recorded". After discussing this information with my daughter she made the informed decision not to have any more Gardasil injections.
 I agree that there needs to be a lot more openness between the medical profession and their patients, we have the right to know what is being given to us. I believe that we are too often just expected to trust them because they are medical professionals. Like Jasmine's mother I know my daughter better than anyone (other than herself) and after reading Jasmine's story I urge everyone to do some independent research before making the decision that you feel is right for you and your daughters.
To Jasmine's family my heartfelt love, I can only imagine the pain you must be feeling. Thank you for having the strength and for caring enough about others to write her story. May she Rest in Peace with the angels.

Shontelle has her first Gardisal vaccine on the 2nd Dec 2008. The batch number was NJ 11440 expiry date October 2010. On the night of 4th December 2009 she had her first seizure. We did not witness this and didn't realise it had happened. She woke up with blood through her bed and a severely bitten tongue. She said to  me she must have had a nightmare. On the Monday I took her to the doctor as she had a sore throat which ended up being tonsillitis.  We showed him her tongue, and he did look at me oddly when she said she had a nightmare. As I was to find out later  injuries like that don't come from nightmares, but he took our word for it.
 
She had the 2nd vaccine on the 2nd February 2009. The batch number was NJ 11440 expiry date August 2010. We heard a strange noise from her room and rushed into find her having a seizure. After seeing the severely bitten tongue and blood through the bed  we new that was  had happened last time. This was the 16th February 2009. Shontelle was admitted to hospital at this time and put on epilepsy medication.
 
We had a very rough few months as the medication wasn't agreeing with her. Shontelle was eventually taken off the medication to see if the seizures were to continue or were a one off.
 
Shontelle had months of severe headaches. I repeatedly took her to the doctor, who put them down as unexplained - couldn't see what she had them. She was very sleepy all the time and couldn't concentrate.  She was also very snappy & moody.It was very hard to go to school and keep up with life in general.
 
In consultation with my doctor Shontelle didn't continue with the third and final Gardisal shot.
 
Shontelle has continued to have seizures, and is back on medication. She has been diagnosed with Epilepsy.
 
We have no family history of epilepsy.

Hi nearly seven weeks ago my daughter had her first gardasil shot,not planned but as she was in the doctors it was suggested to her and being 17 went ahead with it.
3weeks later we have her at the doc as her left leg gave way in the shower and she knocked her jaw,the following week i rush her to a&e with servre chest pains,hard to breath and spasms in her left leg only to be sent home with codine etc.the followimg day her condition worsened to touch the leg it was painful,she said she had like aheavy feeling on the left side of her face,her arm the same,her fingers pins/needles,went to see a gp who sent her in ambulance with a suspected blood clot as her leg was 3cm bigger than the other.Well it has now been 16days and 2 mri,2 xray lots of blood tests and we still dont know what has caused this.She is in rehab her leg is like ice to touch,she cant move her toes and when she stands up it goes red/puple.Her face still feels heavy her arm has improved.She says her leg feels numb she is on crutches but has managed to walk today couple of steps and give me ahug.When it first happened i felt like she had an allergic reaction to something.Has anyone else had symptons like this in nz .She also complaining of hot sweats but her temp normal.Before this she was a fit active  healthy 17yr old.
